2 Days Gorilla Trekking in Uganda

The 2 days gorilla trekking in Uganda is organized for those with little time but interested in seeing the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat Bwindi forest. Uganda’s Bwindi impenetrable forest has the best location for gorilla tracking adventure. The 2 days gorilla trekking in Uganda commences from Kigali – Rwanda northwards to either Southern Bwindi through Chanika Border post to Kisoro. Alternatively, set off from Kigali through Katuna border post and traverse the scenic Kigezi highlands commonly referred to as “the Switzerland of Africa” to Ruhija – the northern area of Bwindi. This 2 days gorilla trekking in Uganda is a private tour, we normally use 4×4 safari land cruisers to move from Kigali to Bwindi.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi

As soon as you arrival at Kigali airport, a tour guide from Extreme safaris will welcome you and transfer you to Ruhija a section in Bwindi impenetrable forest through Katuna border of Rwanda and Uganda. The drives through the picturesque road to northern Bwindi will take approximately four hours. Spend the night at Gorilla Mist Camp

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

You will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing after an early morning breakfast there after begin the hike of a gorilla trail. The time spent while trekking is unpredictable, It normally takes between an hour and 6 hours to encounter the awesome mountain gorillas

At the end of  the Gorilla trek, return to the lodge, enjoy some food and refreshments then immediately transfer back to Kigali.

Best Time to Visit

The best wildlife viewing months in Uganda and Rwanda are during the Dry seasons from June to August and December to February. Primate walks in the forest are a big part of any safari in Rwanda. The habitat of rainforests is, by default, very wet, and one can’t avoid rain completely.

How to Obtain Tourist Entry Visa

The most easier way of getting a visa to Uganda is by purchasing it at the entry point, Entebbe Airport or any border station. This is very possible for tourists. All you need to do is pay USD 50, fill in the application form with passport dates and information. The visa fee of USD 50 usually runs for 90 days.
