The 3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari is a jungle safari promising to change your perception and whole experience of African Jungle Safari.

Prepare to drive or take a flight from Entebbe to Kihihi airport in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park where you will be guided into the jungle habitat of a selected gorilla family . Once you find the Mountain gorillas, and once found, spend a full hour among the mountain gorilla family understanding how they eat, communicate and feel. Itinerary Summary

Safari Itinerary

DAY 1: Take a flight or drive to , Bwindi Impenetrable national park(BINP) from Kampala

Driving to BINP is an adventurous journey as you will stop at the equator where you can have a morning snack or refreshments as you get information, do the water experiments and vist the souvenir African craft shop. You will have your lunch in Mbarara  and also visit Igongo cultural center it’s along drive. Arrivng will be later in the day or early evening and you may only get to arrive eat and retire to prepare for the early morning trek.

Dine and slumber at your booked accommodation.

Moderate – Engagi Lodge
Budget Tourist – Buhoma Community Campground (self-contained cottages)

DAY 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, proceed for the morning briefing before enjoying the highlight of the trip- Gorilla trekking, which may last the entire day. You will trek through the rainforest and bamboo covered slopes, accompanied by a guide and trackers, in search of a particular mountain gorilla family.

The walking can sometimes be tough and long, but when you catch a glimpse of the magnificent silverback, any discomforts will be quickly forgotten because of the excitiment. When sighted, visitors will be guided to keep within 6 metres from the gorillas, sit around them for a while and gazing into their big round eyes.

Bwindi Gorilla trekking is unpredictable. It’s difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike. The gorilla excursion takes from 2 up to 8 hours. Expect to walk along distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. You should be physically fit. For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. A ranger will brief you on how to behave with the gorillas.

DAY 3: Return or continue to another park destination

Best Time to Visit

The best wildlife viewing months in Uganda and Rwanda are during the Dry seasons from June to August and December to February. Primate walks in the forest are a big part of any safari in Rwanda. The habitat of rainforests is, by default, very wet, and one can’t avoid rain completely.

How to Obtain Tourist Entry Visa

The most easier way of getting a visa to Uganda is by purchasing it at the entry point, Entebbe Airport or any border station. This is very possible for tourists. All you need to do is pay USD 50, fill in the application form with passport dates and information. The visa fee of USD 50 usually runs for 90 days.
